Learning and Skills
Learning and Skills is increasing becoming one of the central policy focus areas for the Government in an effort to mitigate the effects of the recession and position the UK to take advantage of the opportunities that are predicted in a changing global economy.
The VCS in the North East have a number of roles to play in the future of learning and skills in the region. Whether this is through workforce development, to ensure our staff and volunteers have the right skills to meet the challenges ahead, as a provider in supporting our beneficiaries to reach their potential, or as an advocate for those impacted on by the mainstream learning and skills policy and service delivery.
The Learning and Skills Section of VONNE's website aims to provide information which supports the region's VCS to continue to undertake these three roles. Below you will find the latest news on issues which impact on learning and skills in the region.
