Effective leadership is a key component in supporting the North East's voluntary and community sector survive and thrive during this current economic period.  VONNE have been working to develop the leadership skills of the sector and these pages have been established to support that work.

VCS Leadership Strategy

The work undertaken by VONNE has been informed by the development of the North East Voluntary and Community Sector Leadership Strategy 2008-14.  The Strategy incorporates the views of the sector and identifies clear areas for action..

North East Third Sector Chairs Forum

VONNE and ACEVO are also working in partnership on the recently launched North East Third Sector Chairs Forum.  The aim of the Forum is to support Chairs to in their unique in and often challenging role in leading third sector organisations.

Trustees

Trustees of voluntary and community sector organisations play a vital leadership role in helping shape the ways organisations are governed and led.  Becoming a trustee can help build your skills in areas such as leadership, strategic planning and management.

For voluntary and community sector organisations recruiting the right trustees to your Board can greatly add value to the way you run your services and organisation.
