VONNE

The North East VCS Employability Reference Group is a voluntary and community sector (VCS) / third sector forum facilitated by VONNE to bring the sector together on issues around employability. In the past this group has helped inform the development of Regional Employability Framework (REF) and has submitted responses to the consultation on welfare reform and the role of the third sector in the employability agenda.

The group meet quartlerly to discuss and develop actions on key issues and topics that are impacting on the sector around the employability agenda. Previous meetings have included presentations on the work and findings of the Department of Work and Pensions Third Sector Task Force, and the work of the Mental Health Regional Employability Team.

Membership of the group is open to any representative of a third sector organisation or network working within the North East with an interest in the employability agenda.
