Changes to VCSE Research Partnerships support - a farewell from Greta Brunskill

Author: Greta Brunskill

After an incredible two years working at VONNE, I wanted to share a final blog before I move on to a new role at the end of August to say goodbye and give thanks, and share how you can continue to get in touch with for VCSE Research Partnerships support.

Over an exciting and busy two years in a brand new role for our region (that has absolutely whizzed by!), I have met many people based in the VCSE and health research sectors and learned such a lot from each one. What an opportunity it has been to shape a role for you, with you – I am so grateful to every person and team who have generously shared their experiences to develop the support that we are offering VCSEs and researchers today. I have also been fortunate to collaborate with partners myself to deliver events, training and resources to help support VCSEs and researchers work together – thank you also to all of you, it’s been great to work together! It has been such a privilege to work with so many brilliant VCSE and research organisations in our region, and I would like to wish you all the very best in your continued efforts to work together to do the best research for the best health and care for all of us. You’re amazing!

Although I am moving on to another role, my work will continue to focus on involving the public and communities in research so I hope to continue to connect with many of you, and my VONNE colleagues, into the future. Importantly, the support from VONNE for VCSEs and researchers around partnership working will be continuing with the support of our National Institute for Health & Care Research (NIHR) partners.

To get in touch with the Health & Wellbeing team including Beth Reeves, our new Health & Wellbeing Coordinator and my replacement when they are in post, you can use the VCSE Research Partnership enquiry forms. These short forms ask you for some brief information about the support or information you’re looking for to enable a timely response.

Thank you again to everyone I have met and worked with in this fantastic role, it’s been a great two years!

With very best wishes, Greta.
