Engaging specific communities and people with the climate emergency and climate action - focus on people from African, Caribbean, Asian and Middle Eastern diasporas

The VONNE Climate Action Alliance (VCAA) as part of our work with the North East England Climate Coalition are hosting three roundtable events in April to explore the challenges and opportunities for engaging particular groups (people of colour, younger people and people from disadvantaged communities) in addressing the climate emergency and climate action activities.

This roundtable is an opportunity for organisations with experience of working with particular people/groups defined by their race, ethnic origin or religion to share insights on their experiences and highlight any challenges they would like help to overcome in relation to engagement with climate action. It would be useful for attendees to share examples of previous, current or planned projects and opportunities for others to get involved.

We'd particularly welcome attendance from organisations that work directly with these groups, even if they have no experience of engaging beneficiaries in climate action activities.
