A workshop looking at accessible online meetings and events, run by Richard Boggie and Nic Cook from Difference North East aimed at VCSE organisations.
This two-hour workshop will help you make your online meetings, presentation and events inclusive, accessible and enjoyable for all.
Making your meeting and events more accessible means that more people will be able to engage. Your organisation will benefit as it will enable more people to attend and give them the opportunity to be included in more discussions and activities online.
During this practical session we will use demonstration, exercises and group work to cover:
- Common barriers to inclusion and participation
- Preparing for your online event - building in accessibility from the start
- Online meeting platforms - some pros and cons of different systems and how to use accessibility features
- Take-away top tips for inclusive meetings and events
This event is open to organisations based in Newcastle, North Tyneside and Northumberland. If you want to attend the workshop but your organisation is out of the North of Tyne area, email firstname.lastname@example.org support.
