Learn about how to communicate effectively about the climate crisis and tackle misinformation with ACT Climate Labs, in partnership with Going Green Together and Catalysing Innovation.

In the fight against climate change, organisations of all kinds are trying to gain public support for policies that will protect the planet and ensure a prosperous future for all. But a new report has shown that 32% of Britons believe that climate change is only partly caused by human activity, and 55% believed some form of climate misinformation.

Climate change misinformation and disinformation are major threats to climate action. They distort the perception of climate science and solutions and create confusion among ordinary people. In this webinar, ACT Climate Labs will be presenting techniques that your organisation can use to improve your communication strategies, and fight back and get ahead of misinformation.

ACT Climate Labs is a project run by a group of advertising and climate experts with a mission to supercharge the effectiveness of climate communications with advertising techniques. They have carried out proprietary research on an audience they call the ‘Persuadables’, the 69% of the UK population who don't have strong opinions about climate change, and can be swayed either positively or negatively.

Members of voluntary, community, and social enterprise organisations are invited to join this open webinar on Wednesday 8th of February at 2pm to learn about:

  • What is misinformation and disinformation, and how it impacts audiences
  • How to spot dirty tactics and reframe arguments
  • How to reach persuadable audiences with advertising techniques

Do you have a particular challenge you face in communicating about the climate emergency? Do you have any questions you'd like answered in this webinar? Fill out our pre-webinar survey ahead of time to help us address your questions in this webinar.
