This introduction to community energy will cover the options available, where to begin, what the process involves, and how to make the most of community energy schemes.

Join this online session on community energy from Ewan Boyd of Teesdale Environmental Consulting (TEC Ltd.) and VONNE's Going Green Together programme, for a detailed and practical introduction to community energy.

"Community energy" can refer to a wide range of energing saving and energy generating projects. It's an important piece of the puzzle in tackling the cost of living, by reducing the use of expensive fossil fuels, and protecting our communities and future generations against the climate crisis, through reducing harmful carbon emissions. This session will cover the options available, where to begin, what the process involves, and how to make the most of community energy schemes.

All voluntary, community, and social enterprises from the North East and Cumbria are invited to this session, which will involve a presentation followed by a chance to ask questions.

About TEC Ltd: TEC Ltd was established by Ewan Boyd in 2006, following a successful career working as the national Environmental Manager for the YHA charity, focusing on improving sustainability and introducing renewable energy projects throughout the organisation. Since then, TEC Ltd has worked as an independent consultancy, specialising in community energy projects at at a variety of scales, building energy efficiency, with a particular focus on community buildings, and broader social development projects around community scale energy sustainability.
