Join us for this workshop event along with representatives from public and private sector organisations to work collaboratively to develop the delivery plan to form part of the VCSE Inclusive Economy Manifesto which was launched on the 4th October.

The VCSE sector recognises that with both the lasting effects of the pandemic and the pressure being brought to bear by the cost of living crisis, even more people are at risk of falling below the poverty line and being left behind. There has never been a more critical time to work together with partners to really tackle these issues and to seek to achieve a truly inclusive economy for all individuals and communities within the North East.

We understand that the strengths and assets of the public, private and VCSE sectors must all be harnessed and firmly focused on collaboration and coordinated activity if we want to make this happen.

The manifesto sets out the VCSE sector’s vision for an inclusive economy, the broad reaching benefits of this approach, the critical role it can play in helping to achieve this.  The document identifies key goals and asks to ensure the sector is well equipped to play a fully active part in enabling individuals and communities to thrive and reach their full potential.

We want to use the manifesto as the starting point for a collective discussion, with key partners from the public, private and VCSE sectors across the North East, to identify how we can all work together to achieve this.

This workshop event which is focused on partners working within the LA7/ NE Mayoral Combined Authority area is the initial activity to start to develop the delivery plan to sit alongside the manifesto.  We welcome representatives from the VCSE, public and private sectors to work together to develop a plan that is both ambitious and realistic.  We want to set out the ways we can work more effectively together and the actions that we all need to take to enable that to happen.

Please note this event will be held in person in central Newcastle.

More information and preparation work will be shared with attendees in advance of the workshop so that attendees can come prepared to participate on the day.
