NECA Coastal High Streets Roundtable

North East CA and Power to Change have asked VONNE to work with their partners to convene several roundtables across the North East region to inform the development of approaches to reimagining towns and high streets.
In partnership with Local Infrastructure Organisations, we're hosting six online roundtable discussions focussing on rural, coastal and urban highstreets.
Everyone is welcome to attend, but we particuarly welcome discussions with:
- Social Entrepreneurs
- Existing Socially Trading Organisations (STOs)
- Infrastructure Organisations
- New and early stage STOs
The roundtables aim to build on previous learning and explore the role of community businesses and socially trading organisations in revitalising high streets. They seek to generate innovative ideas, foster partnerships, and increase sector involvement in decision-making. The discussions will identify successful examples of community ownership, address policy barriers, assess support needs, and help shape future funding and support offers. Additionally, the roundtables aim to support the formation of a regional alliance for socially trading organisations and contribute insights to the new High Streets Commission with a focus on community-led and place-based solutions.
This session will be hosted by Northumberland CVA, and focus on high streets in coastal areas of the North East.
