DWP Dynamic Purchasing System briefing
Does your organisation provide work-focused activities to individuals - skills training, employability readiness support etc. Would you like to register your organisation and services with DWP so that Job Centre Plus staff can view and potentially purchase your services for their clients?
If so, you'll be interested in attending this briefing, arranged by VONNE, hosted by The Wise Group and delivered by DWP to find out more about their Dynamic Purchasing System, how to get involved and what further support might be available to guide you through the process.
More information on the DWP Dynamic Purchasing System for provision of work-focused activities can be found here
The Dynamic Purchasing System (DPS) is DWP’s new electronic system for setting up and maintaining a list of suppliers and offerings from which provision can be procured. We will use DPS to locally award contracts through the Flexible Support Fund (FSF) and this may offer an opportunity for a number of organisations.
DPS will simplify and reduce the time and cost involved for suppliers in bringing their services to market by reducing the duplication of effort created by participation in multiple, separate procurement competitions. It is structured around an Employability Journey which identifies 8 service categories and 5 routeways into Employment which providers are asked to provide provision against.
The new DPS procurement route offers a number of commercial and operational advantages for both the buyer and potential providers, compared to traditional contracting methods and it supports DWP’s commitment to making government contracts more accessible for Small and Medium Enterprises. Many requirements are being identified and we want all potential organisations, from sole traders to national providers, to be part of DWP’s DPS procurement framework.
DWP hope that this event will be a great opportunity for DWP to engage with voluntary sector and smaller providers and allow them to hear more detail about DPS and how they might get involved going forward.
