You are currently  receiving a regular Health and Wellbeing ebulletin which  we were able to produce through funding via the Department of Health (DH) Strategic Partner programme which ended  on 31/3/17 .  VONNE are keen to try to continue to provide health & wellbeing specific bulletins but as the DH will no longer be providing a VCS newsletter nationally as part of their Strategic Partner Programme and the funding to support dissemination has stopped then we are limited in what we can provide.

For the foreseeable future we will try to continue to provide a regional health & wellbeing bulletin containing relevant regional and local  info and national info where we can. The frequency of this bulletin will no longer be monthly but we will endeavour to ensure it is reasonably regular.

VONNE is the regional support body for the voluntary and community sector in the North East.
This ebulletin is sent out to VCSE organisations interested in health and wellbeing policy issues.

Promising practice: How Sustainability and Transformation Partnerships are working with the voluntary, community and social enterprise sector

NHS England have produced a briefing to share practical ideas on how Sustainability and Transformation Partnerships developing Sustainability and Transformation Plans (STPs) can work in partnership with the voluntary, community and social enterprise sector (VCSE). You can read the briefing here.
The NHS Five Year Forward View noted that ‘voluntary organisations often have an impact well beyond what statutory services alone can achieve…these organisations provide a rich range of activities… and deliver vital services with paid expert staff.’ By sharing real life examples of what STPs are doing, it is intended to spread good practice and show what is possible.
Examples given in the briefing include current engagement in the north east region supported though VONNE. We hope that if we can build on this initial engagement it will lead to better and more systematic practice in partnership working with the voluntary sector by NHS partners and real engagement in the development and delivery of STP’s.
