Foundation Durham provides a mixture of accommodation based, floating and triage support to customers across Co Durham.
We deliver support to offenders and those at risk of offending through a mixture of group work, informal learning and volunteer days alongside 1-1 support.

Organisation Aims/Missions:

Freshground is a social enterprise joint venture between Social Enterprise Acumen and Durham Tees Valley Probation Trust which provides a quality service to its customers and in so doing provides real work experience and placement opportunities for unemployed ex-offenders from across the Durham Tees Valley area, giving them a chance to make reparation to their communities whilst gaining employability skills

Organisation Aims/Missions:

Gateshead Older People's Assembly works to improve the health and wellbeing of all Gateshead residents aged 50+. We offer a variety of activities and classes designed to reduce levels of loneliness and social isolation, malnutrition, and falls among Gateshead's older population.

Overview of the services offered:

The Assembly offers a variety of opportunities for older people to socialise (art/craft/reminiscence groups, weekly tea dances), exercise (Tai Chi, dancercise, seated exercise, postural stability/falls prevention, circuits), and learn (short courses in foreign languages and floristry, volunteering opportunities and qualifications). We run a dementia-friendly community garden and a pay-what-you-can community café, The Cosy Crow, from our base in Deckham Village Hall

Organisation Aims/Missions:

We are an organisation run by women for women which aims to:
•Provide information, support and counselling for women aged 16 and over who have been raped or sexually abused
•Raise awareness about rape and sexual abuse and provide training, education and outreach work
•Contribute to policy initiatives aimed at improving service provision for women survivors
•Support and help develop initiatives aimed at preventing / detecting child sexual abuse and adult rape / sexual assault

Established in 1983, Helix Arts is an independent charity specialising in the development of high quality arts based projects. We believe that participation in creative activity is fundamental to the well-being of individuals and communities and should be accessible to all. In a typical year, Helix Arts workes with 30-50 artists working across a wide range of art form areas including visual arts, filmmaking, creative writing, design, dance, music and Mcing, photography and drama.
