Community energy workshop

Monday, 27 January, 2020 - 09:30 to 15:00
The Greenhouse, Greencroft Industrial Park, Annfield Plain DH9 7XN

Do you have a good idea for reducing carbon emissions in your area? Are you keen to find out what is going on nationally and how the north east is aiming to meet these challenges? Did you know heating is one of our greatest climate change challenges?

Durham Energy Institute, Durham County Council, North East LEP and Community Energy England would like to invite you to a free workshop designed to explore the potential of motivated communities and local authorities in the north east to contribute to the energy transition, the challenges they face and what is needed to catalyse the development of community led energy projects across the region.

This workshop is ideal for those seeking low carbon solutions to rural and community led energy projects and would be ideal for community groups, local authorities, energy technologists and community funders.

If you have a good idea and want to discuss how to deliver it in your area, please come along to hear from energy experts and discover what can be done to develop your ideas. You will also hear the latest research, policy and leading thinkers in community led energy.

Spaces are limited so registration is essential. Please book your place on the eventbrite website.
