Come along to this virtual consultation event with MP Chi Onwurah for minority business owners in the North East.
Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic Business Owners are invited to attend a virtual meeting hosted by the North East Growth Hub. The event is planned as a ‘Question Time’ virtual round table for ethnic minority business owners with Newcastle MP Chi Onwurah and a panel of business support experts including:
- Diana Chrouch - special advisor to the All Party Parliamentary Group for Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic Business Owners
- Yvonne Gale - CEO of NEL Fund Managers, which provides funding to businesses across the North East
- Ammar Mirza - Asian Business Connexions
- Representatives from the North East Growth Hub
Ethnic minority business owners are invited to share their experiences about the barriers that they have faced when trying to access support and funding the region. From access to funding, procurement contracts and support for international trade through to innovation and making your business more digital, you are invited to take part whether your business is a start up or scaling up.
The event will also provide an opportunity to find out about the available business support services, funding and resources that are available for local ethnic minority businesses via the Growth Hub
This event aims to be inclusive and so entrepreneurs from all ethnic minority communities are welcome to attend from the North East LEP area (County Durham, Gateshead, Newcastle, North Tyneside, Northumberland, South Tyneside, Sunderland).
