Volunteers at Live Theatre provide invaluable support with projects such as Live Tales, its children and young people’s story-writing programme in Newcastle and Sunderland.
Volunteers encourage and inspire pupils aged between 7 and 14 to develop their imaginations and write stories. They provide encouragement, one-to-one and in small groups, and help children to build confidence in their storytelling.
Volunteer illustrators create drawings to accompany the children’s stories, whilst some get to use their acting skills.
