The Gas Safe Charity is running free carbon monoxide awareness workshops in Gateshead.
The Gas Safe Charity is working with Gateshead City Council to deliver free half day carbon monoxide workshops. They're aimed at front line staff and volunteers who deliver their services in the homes of vulnerable people. Carbon monoxide is a potentially lethal gas which can’t be detected by our senses. Even at low levels, over a long period, there is an increased risk of falls and poor health. Greater awareness of the sources, signs and symptoms and what to do if you suspect there may be a carbon monoxide risk will help protect vulnerable people, as well as front line staff themselves.
There are 2 half day workshops on Wednesday February 19 at 9.45am and 1.30pm.
To book a place please contact Christine Beattie on ChristineBeattie@gateshead.gov.uk and let her know which workshop you would like to attend.
