Free training: Accounting and Financial Statements – Part Two

Join the Sage Foundation for a training session that will help develop your understanding of how accounting works in the UK non-profit sector.

The course uses the Colour Accounting Learning System, which makes accounting simple by approaching the subject visually. You will progress your understanding of Accounting and Financial Statements, so that you can better communicate financial concepts with your stakeholders, eg trustees, staff and your accountants.

By the end of the session you will:
- Understand how asset acquisitions are accounted for
- See how depreciation and cost of sales are accounted for over time
- Understand the nature of accruals and deferrals
- Have a better understanding of the financial reporting requirements for NPOs in the UK
- Have built your confidence in communicating around financial matters either with your team, accountants or stakeholders
- Be able to read Financial Statements more thoroughlyThere are 10 minutes included at the end for a dedicated Q&A session.
