VONNE Silver Membership+ supporters Rape Crisis Tyneside and Northumberland (RCTN) will be delivering Sexual Violence Against Older Women (SVAOW) training to third sector and community organisations in Tyneside this November.
The training will help to raise awareness regarding the nature, prevalence and impact of SVAOW, looking at the myths, realities and barriers to accessing services. It aims to increase professional’s confidence when dealing with SWAOW.
Places are limited and RCTN are asking for expressions of interest from third sector and community practitioners who work with older women.
Places will be allocated and confirmed with those who have been offered a place later in October, when details regarding the venue will be confirmed.
If you would like to make an expression of interest, please email Margie Cooper, Rape Crisis Tyneside & Northumberland on firstname.lastname@example.org indicating which training session you would like to attend, the name of the organisation you work for and your role, and a brief statement on why attending SVAOW training is important for your work.
