￼Enterprise Programme Development Officer

The Alnwick Garden is an iconic visitor attraction and award winning social enterprise, committed to improving the local community by creating hundreds of jobs, contributing £200million to the local economy and delivering an inspirational community programme.
The aim of The Alnwick Garden is to raise aspiration across the board –we would now like to develop our Enterprise Programme further to have a more significant impact on enterprise in the local community in two distinct ways:
Supporting disadvantaged young people to gain employment with The Alnwick Garden and partners
Supporting people in the local community to develop enterprises to enhance the visitor offering at The Alnwick Garden.
The Enterprise Programme Development officer post will deliver a pilot project of our new Enterprise Programme offering tailored work experience and skills development programmes to support participants in developing employability and life skills.
The post combines delivery partner management, project planning skills, personalised young person support and the development and maintenance of strong internal relationships to deliver results for disadvantaged young people. You will also be required to work with colleagues to identify new funding streams to continue the work.
Applicants should possess experience in youth or community work, working with individual beneficiaries and strong organisation skills complimented by effective communication, a team approach to working and a drive for continuous improvement.
This post is for 9m with the likelihood of extension subject to successful funding applications.
