An exciting opportunity is now available in Sunderland Counselling Service for a part time Administrative Assistant. The post holder will work closely with the Office Manager to ensure the smooth running of this busy counselling service. Key tasks will include receiving and processing client referrals including contacting clients to arrange appointments, fielding queries via telephone, email and letter, providing reception cover, creating letters, co-ordinating diaries, scanning and copying documents and the maintenance of an electronic client case management system as well as all internal IT systems.
Due to the nature of the work of the Service, it is inevitable that the post holder will come into contact with potentially distressed and vulnerable clients and support is available from team members in these circumstances as required.
Generally the successful candidate will be based in the busy city centre base, however this post may involve home working whilst restrictions regarding COVID 19 and social distancing remain in place and therefore the post holder may be required to work confidentially from home.
