Building Futures East is a community development and regeneration organisation offering a unique blend of personal support and vocational training to individuals in Newcastle and North Tyneside.
We are offering a full-time post to build the functional skills and support needs of local people so that they are better equipped to access jobs, careers and life opportunities. You’ll work within a small, dedicated community development team. You’ll provide tailored support in community contexts, to individuals through teaching, goal setting and personal coaching using a case management approach. We are seeking candidates with a relevant teaching and/or training qualification e.g. Cert Ed, PGCE, CTLLS, DTLLS; Level 2 qualification in Mathematics, English and can teach Employability and ICT.
Experience of delivering Functional Skills (Mathematics & English) to Level 2 in alternative settings is particularly welcome. We will seek candidates with the ability to embrace and develop practical and innovative delivery models for Functional Skills outside of classroom delivery models.
