The Key is a charity committed to inspiring belief in young people. The Key is a charity committed to inspiring young people to believe in themselves, especially those facing challenging circumstances. We work with organisations who use our programme to empower young people to realise their potential, develop the skills they need to thrive, and recognise the positive impact they can make in society.
Through a wide variety of partnerships, young people are supported to complete KEY+, our youth-led skills development programme, built upon over 30 years' experience and founded on our core beliefs.
We need someone who can help us to secure the funding we need from a range of sources. You’ll need skills and determination and don’t necessarily have to have experience of either generating funding or working in the youth sector if you have transferable skills and can apply that learning in this role.
In the spirit of The Key, we’re looking for someone with potential. We’ll invest in you to develop into the role of an accomplished fund raiser. As your experience grows and you meet funding targets, your role and salary will develop accordingly.
It goes without saying (but we’ll say it anyway) you’ll need enthusiasm, ambition, and strong values.
You’ll already have the skills and ability to research topics to write clear persuasive documents. Funders will read the applications you’ve been part of working on and find them compelling. You’ll thrive on working to deadlines, raising funds, and the pressure that can sometimes bring.
Day to day, you’ll work with a committed team who are super focused on trying to help young people get the brilliant opportunities our KEY+ programme can provide. Hours are flexible with some office and home working.
We’re trying to recruit as fairly as possible and have adjusted our application process in line with this. To apply, we’re asking you just five questions that we think will tell us, and you, the most important things about this job. If we’re interested in you, we’ll ask you for more information about yourself further down the line at interview.
If you’re interested and want to talk to us – please get in touch we’d love to speak to you and answer any questions.
Interviews to be held on 19th July 2022.
