Job Purpose: To develop marketing strategies for deaf awareness training and deaf awareness raising initiatives and to liaise with all pertinent customers in developing the trade of deaf awareness training and deaf awareness raising initiatives.
Duties: You will be expected to source, identify and liaise with all customers connected to deaf awareness training delivery and deaf awareness raising initiatives. You will be expected to outline plans with customers for deaf awareness training and related initiatives, creating pathways for access to initial delivery and setting out appropriate and deliverable plans for repeated custom.
Skills Criteria: You should be a motivated person who appreciates the reasoning behind customers giving value to deaf awareness raising initiatives. You should be a good communicator in person and in writing. You should be able to recognise creative opportunities and respond to these quickly and effectively. You should be able to implement and develop plans and have an appreciation of working on multiple projects simultaneously. You should have positive skills in networking.
You should have IT literacy in line with maintaining database information.
Experience Criteria: You should have experience in business development. You should have an understanding of the budgeting systems of charities. Previous experience in trade would be advantageous. Experience of product marketing would be advantageous.
Team Overview: You will be part of a small team who are passionate about the positive interactions between deaf and hearing people and equal inclusion for all. You will be expected to work well within the team and also work well independently.
Success Measures: You will be expected to contribute positively towards attaining all success measures as set out in the organisation’s strategic and business plan.
