We offer a range of therapeutic and support services for children, young people and families affected by domestic violence and abuse.  We are recruiting for a motivated, dynamic Children and Young People’s Outreach Worker to work with our Prevent and Cope team delivering trauma informed, flexible outreach services which address the psychological and emotional needs of children and young people and families living with the effects of domestic violence and/or abuse.  Work includes 1-1 case work, both practical and therapeutic, and delivery of our bespoke youth programmes, open access services and group sessions, in a variety of settings including in-house, schools and within the community.

Due to the restrictions posed by the current pandemic, this role will involve elements of home working and remote working where possible including for the delivery of the service, so flexibility is encouraged.

This is a varied and interesting role, the post holder will work closely with our other services to design and deliver an appropriate family care plan for the family unit.  A youth work, education, domestic abuse or child care background is an advantage.

Interviews are provisionally scheduled for Tuesday 28th July.

This is a fixed term post until 31st March 2021 with a possibility of an extension dependant on funding.

To apply, please call 0191 3498366 or email to request an application pack. This role is subject to an enhanced DBS check.
