Community Engagement Practitioner, The Bridge Young Carers Service, County Durham
22.2 hours per week
Grade 2 (lower): £11,984.40 - £13,550.40 per annum (£19,974 - £22,584 FTE)
Fixed term contract for 12 months
The Bridge Young Carers Service provides support to young carers and their families. Through our work with The Young Carers Neighbourhood Charter we empower services, schools and communities to build stronger neighbourhoods for children and young people with caring responsibilities. We aim to ensure that young carers have the support they need to: be healthy, strong, safe and fulfill their potential.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and confident person to deliver the Young Carers Neighbourhood Charter project. You will need to be qualified to a level three or above with a recognised professional qualification in social work, health, education or equivalent and have excellent communication and organisational skills. Working as part of the Young Carers team, the successful candidate will help schools, services and community groups to gain: Young Carers Charter status. You will provide Charter consultation, training and support and co-produce written evaluations across County Durham. The role requires travel across County Durham and so a willingness to be mobile and use own vehicle is essential.
