We provide more than 8,400 homes to over 16,000 people across communities in County Durham. We are more than just a landlord, we have a strong social purpose to work with our tenants and partners to enable strong communities. Our ambitious Plan A sets out challenges to enable sustainable tenure, provide quality homes and deliver a brilliant customer experience.

Our Community Regeneration team is at the heart of this driving forward positive change which enables our tenants and customers to be actively engaged in improving the life chances within their communities.  The Covid pandemic has seen some incredibly positive responses to supporting our communities through our partners with our help but we all recognise there is a long way to go, especially for those communities who were struggling before all this.

Community Regeneration Adviser

Working in our award-winning Community Regeneration Team, your excellent relationship management skills will be invaluable in co-ordinating with customers, tenants, contractors, colleagues and community groups to regenerate and improve our communities making them desirable locations to live and work.  You will play a pivotal role in delivering our ambitious regeneration projects making lifechanging improvements to estates across our communities.

The post will be for six-months duration in the first instance and will concentrate on regeneration of housing, community engagement and developing new projects to improve opportunities for our tenants.

You will work with our tenants to implement our key Plan A actions to enable strong communities and achieve challenging deadlines, impacts and targets.  You will thrive seeing the transformation of places both physically and socially, and proactively enhance community cohesion and aid the recovery of communities as we start to see the Covid 19 pandemic restrictions ease.
