Key Role
To assist in the effective mobilisation and delivery of the Covid Community Champion service in the Borough of Stockton.
To assist in identifying key community champion volunteers to promote Covid Public Health messages to the right people at the right time using the right method to suit their needs. 
To assist in training and supporting the volunteer champions to act as a conduit between Public Health and the community they represent by identifying barriers aligned to the Covid restrictions and working with the community and Public Health to come up with solutions to break down those barriers.
To develop and maintain various communication and support methods including WhatsApp, Webinars, phone calls, text etc.
To contribute to performance targets and milestones in-line with commissioner, funder and PCP expectations.
To assist in the support the growth and development of PCP projects as appropriate.
 
Job Purpose
1. To develop the Covid Community Champion role to act as a conduit between Stockton-on-Tees communities and Public Health Stockton-on-Tees.
2. To identify, develop and maintain communication methods which best suit the communities identified.
3. To contribute to reports by providing both quantitative and qualitative data and case studies. 
4. To successfully support Covid Community Champions in both disseminating Public Health information around Covid and to collate the intelligence provided by the Champions.
5 To maintain social media, newsletters where appropriate. Ensuring that the project works to the communications strategy to maximize PR and marketing opportunities
6. To contribute to effective links with commissioners, partners and related organisations.
7. To work with the Champions to identify barriers which may stop the public acting on the advice given to stop the spread of Covid and to work with Public Health to find solutions.
8. To ensure effective data recording and management systems are completed accurately at all times.
9. To be an ambassador for PCP and represent the organisation at a number of different forums and events.
General

3. To assist PCP marketing and engagement work and use creative techniques to gather views from the communities we support.
4. To actively take responsibility for your own Health & Safety and ensuring procedures are adhered to.
5. To collate appropriate monitoring and evaluation information to support the achievement of agreed targets and outcomes within the project or service.
6. To carry out all responsibilities in line with the organisation’s Equality & Diversity Policy.
7. To recruit, support, train and motivate volunteers as required.
8. To undertake any training and development deemed appropriate.
9. To undertake any such duties required by your Senior Manager or PCP Chief Executive.
