We are currently seeking a part-time Environment Officer to develop the Ouseburn Trust's role in the maintenance and enhancement of woodland, green and in-between spaces in the Lower Ouseburn Valley (Newcastle upon Tyne) for the enjoyment of residents, visitors and businesses. The main purposes of the role are:
- To contribute to and assist in maintaining, sustaining and developing of the open spaces of the lower Ouseburn Valley, including protecting its wildlife and promoting access for visitors.
- To develop volunteering in open space management by supporting and developing the team of volunteer supervisors and widening opportunities for session volunteers (from businesses, residents and other sources).
The Ouseburn Trust recognizes the crucial role the maintenance and management of our open spaces plays in addressing the challenges facing our environment and the diversity of species.
This post is funded for 18 months initially.
