Difference is recruiting for an Events and Communications Assistant.
Difference North East campaigns for equality for disabled people across our region, so that the north east is a fairer, more equal place to live, work and study. We are run by disabled people for disabled people.
Thanks to funding from the National Lottery, we have exciting plans to grow our activities over the next 3 years. Events and communications will be at the heart of this growth.
We are looking for someone who can deliver engaging, impactful and accessible content to support all of our activities.
The role involves supporting our campaigning, projects, training and events, by developing excellent online content and communications across a variety of platforms.
You will also help organise and facilitate meetings and events, developing a depth of expertise in digital accessibility.
You will need to share our commitment to disability equality and have excellent written and oral communication skills. You will need to have a good working knowledge of a range of digital platforms and communication tools, and some experience of planning and organising events.
In return, we can offer a flexible role where you can make a real difference as part of a small, professional team, providing you with skills and experience that will help develop your career in communication and marketing.
