Finance Manager (Part-time)

20 hours per week

Salary £17,423 per annum

(£32,233 per annum pro-rata)

 

Carers Together Foundation is an organisation dedicated to improving carers’ quality of life. We listen to carers, give them a voice, provide information, practical and emotional support and promote carers’ rights across the South Tees area.

We are seeking an experienced Finance Manager to provide appropriate, accurate, and timely financial information across the charity’s services and programmes and to manage the monthly payroll process.  The postholder will be responsible for ensuring effective systems and procedures for financial management, control, reporting and monitoring, and producing and overseeing the organisation’s annual budget in consultation with the CEO. Ensuring compliance with financial policies and procedures and producing accurate annual statutory accounts and management of the annual independent examination is also expected.

The successful candidate will hold a recognised qualification in accounting – ACCA, ACA, CIMA, AAT-Level 3 and above (or equivalent) with experience of budget preparation, setting and monitoring of financial forecasting, ideally in the charity or not for profit sectors.  Knowledge of the charitable funding environment, SORP and charity accounting practice and requirements is essential.

Applicants should have excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills, the ability to present complex information to non-finance staff and Trustees in an accessible format and the ability to develop strong relationships within and outside of the organisation.

The successful candidate can be based at our office in the Kirkleatham Business Park in Redcar or the TAD Centre, Middlesbrough.
