Following a restructure of the Head of Service roles in the programmes department, we are seeking to recruit a dynamic and ambitious person to fill this exciting and key role. Working closely with the Director of Programmes as part of the Strategic Leadership Team, the successful applicant will be pivotal in developing and leading the employability and domestic abuse services and ensure they operate with best practice and that OCH implements cutting edge innovation.
The role is pivotal in developing and growing the current service in line with evidenced need and OCH’s strategy. The role will hold specific responsibility for quality assurance; monitoring, evaluating and reporting on current practice and outcomes, ensuring excellent and consistent provision which is in line with the Oasis Community Housing ethos, values, policies and procedures. A key part of the role is to line manage Team Leaders and effectively manage budgets. The role will be a member of the Strategic Leadership Team of the charity and to provide leadership on the culture, ethos and values within the charity and its activities.
The successful candidate will be qualified to NVQ 3 or equivalent with extensive and demonstrable experience as a manager including leadership of support provision, ideally in the area of domestic abuse and employability. They will have experience of reporting to funders and commissioners; monitoring the quality of performance and data, using this information to improve outcomes for individuals and projects. They will have a mature and flexible approach; excellent emotional intelligence and self-awareness, with an ability to work calmly under pressure. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to build effective working relationships with other organisations are essential.
