We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated advocate to join our advocacy service.

As an advocate you will be working with individuals to ensure their voices and choices are considered in decisions that affect them and ensuring their rights are upheld. Applicants with a general advocacy qualification, IMHA, IMCA or experience of being a paid RPR or those with significant experience in a similar role which evidences direct involvement with vulnerable people and carers will be considered. Those applicants applying without an advocacy qualification will be considered but will be paid at a 10% salary reduction until completion of an advocacy qualification which will be available to access through this post.

You will be able to work on complex and varied cases, have a good understanding of social and health care processes and be IT literate.

You will be required to have your own transport and work across Hartlepool, Stockton, Middlesbrough and Redcar.
