INFORMATION AND ADVICE OFFICER
£19,347 pa - £21,873 p.a. pro rata
Age UK North Tyneside is looking for a self-motivated, organised and experienced Information and Advice Officer to support older people to access timely and accurate information and advice, through a variety of settings including telephone, digital, face to face appointments, home visits and outreach sessions.
The purpose of the role is to deliver a free, comprehensive, confidential and impartial generalist advice service, covering a range of subject areas including; welfare rights, community care, housing and local services to quality mark standards.
The successful candidate will be expected to support the delivery of the overall information and advice service but predominately the Later Life Goals programme. Later Life Goals aims to provide one-to-one holistic advice and support, targeting the needs of older people who are experiencing a significant life event. For example this could be a transition moment, such as retiring from work, a diagnosis of a health condition, an increase in care needs, or coping after a bereavement with a key focus on combating loneliness in North Tyneside.
