Could you be our one of our new Interim Finance Controller/ Manager?
As part of the County Durham Community Foundation team, you’ll be joining a grant-making charity that connects local donors with community projects, groups, individuals and families in need.
Each year we award millions of pounds in grants to hundreds of locally-based grassroots organisations and to individuals, thanks to the generosity of our supporters. Since March 2020 we’ve been working to raise funds to support the community response to Covid-19: awarding grants to organisations supporting those hardest hit by the pandemic.
As Interim Finance Controller / Manager you will be overseeing the financial day to day management of the organisation, having a genuine capacity and interest in developing the organisation further. Responsibilities will include producing the annual accounts in line with SORP guidelines, ensuring that all financial returns are completed fully and properly, and that all matters in relation to finance and financial controls are managed and dealt with appropriately.
We are committed to equity, inclusion and better reflecting the communities we serve across the North East and are working to broaden the diversity of our team. In particular, we welcome applications from people from Black, Asian and minority ethnic communities; and people who identify as LGBTQ+ and/or disabled.
The post is initially for one-year. During this period the Foundation is reviewing its strategy, reflecting on the critical role the Foundation has played during the pandemic in supporting local communities through grassroots grant-making and engaging with local donors. It is expected that the role-holder will play an active role in this process.
Salary range £38,500 - £45,000 (for exceptional candidates); (pro-rata)
