What’s the opportunity?
The Wise Group together with our funders, the Prison Service and other third sector delivery partners has established a fantastic reputation for the delivery of our mentoring service and Enhanced Through the Gate Model, which will provide a mentoring service for offenders across North East England.
Who are you?
We are looking to recruit a dynamic individual who can provide life changing support to offenders using a bespoke mentoring approach. We are looking for passionate and driven individuals who can encourage, support and prepare clients for release from prison and facilitate successful reintegration into the community, this would include arranging help with housing, debt, benefits, addictions and family relationships.
The ability to manage a varied workload under pressure, be well organised and assertive, and have excellent IT and written communication skills are essential.
A full driving licence and the use of a car would be advantageous.

Position: Specialist – Community Justice
Location: North East England – Durham Tees Valley (there will be some home working during Covid-19)
Hours: 35 hours per week, flexible working
Status: Fixed to 1 June 2021
Salary: £21,420 + excellent benefits
