Headliners (UK) is a delivery partner for the National Citizen Service (NCS) and we are delighted to be offering an exciting Summer 2021 and Autumn 2021 programme for young people in South Tyneside.
The rate for the post of NCS Wave Leader is - £420 per week.

Headliners (UK) are recruiting Wave Leaders to lead and co-ordinate our summer NCS programme departures. You will oversee Team Leaders, Team Assistants and teams of sixteen and seventeen year olds through our NCS South Tyneside programme.

The Wave Leader will be a positive role model, to lead, coach and motivate a team of staff who are looking after teams of up to 16 diverse young people. Your role will be to support, stretch and maximise the learning for all participants throughout the NCS Programme and that of the staff.

We are very proud of our reputation in delivering high quality programmes for young people and have high expectations of all our staff team and firmly believe that great Wave leaders are absolutely essential for the successful delivery of the NCS programme.

As a Wave Leader you will lead and inspire a “wave” of 45 young people and seasonal staff.

You will be responsible for the safeguarding and pastoral care of young people on your wave, effectively line managing and coaching seasonal staff and overseeing the programme logistics. You will work throughout the residential and non-residential phases of the programme. You will take part in evening shift work patterns during the residential phases. You will work closely with and be supported by NCS Headliners (UK) contract staff.   You will also be expected to complete all relevant paper work and close down checks.

This post is subject to an Enhanced DBS check and disclosure which Headliners (UK) will arrange.  The post is also subject to at least two satisfactory references.
