Salary NJC Point 16 £23,369 plus up to 5% pension contribution to Organisation’s Pension Scheme. Full time (37 hours per week). Fixed Term until December 2021 (extension subject to continued funding). Job share is available for this post.

We currently have exciting opportunities for a compassionate and committed individual to join us as an Older Persons Mental Health and Wellbeing Community Worker. You must be passionate about helping to improve the mental and physical wellbeing of older people living with low mood, anxieties and low confidences. You will be providing confidential support to older people across County Durham, experiencing poor mental health due to Covid-19

We would expect a minimum experience of:

  • Experience of working with older people
  • Knowledge and practical experience of delivering mental health advocacy to older people
  • Understanding of the impact of poor mental health upon the wellbeing of older people

If you want to work in an environment that makes a real difference to older people’s lives then this could be the job for you. The post will be based at our Head Office at Belmont Business Park, Durham but you may also be required to travel to other sites and within the community and therefore a clean driving licence or daily access to transport is essential.  The post will be subject to a DBS check.
