This exciting role will involve assisting the Community Services Manager in developing an activities program for people aged 50 and over across the outer west of Newcastle with special emphasis on our community hub area in Lemington. You will also work with our volunteers, recruit new volunteers and work with local older people participating in the activities program, developing new ways to address loneliness and social isolation, improving health outcomes and promoting access to our person-centered services.
The ideal candidate with be a friendly, enthusiastic, self-motivated individual who has experience of working the community and development work. The successful candidate will have the ability to work alone with skills in engagement and relationship building with organisations as well as individuals. Knowledge of social media, digital communications, and marketing tools would also be a distinct advantage.
