We are looking for a talented part-time manager to run our Tynesiders project. Our ideal candidate would be a self-starter with experience of community development, management and effective partnership building.
Headliners has received two years of funding from the National Lottery Heritage Fund to work with young people aged 11-25 from new, emerging and established communities to unearth stories of (im)migration, integration and piece together a wider shared picture of Tyneside heritage as one of migration. The project will aim to challenge prejudice, promote diversity and support the young people to become civic journalists working together to uncover histories of migration and integration. The young people’s investigations will help build new connections and a shared understanding of heritage between different communities, different generations and between the communities and heritage venues in the area. They will share and celebrate their findings through celebration events, photography exhibitions and other multi-media.
