Ouseburn Trust

We want to preserve, research and share the heritage of the Ouseburn Valley as the heart of what makes this place special. Our heritage is in the buildings, the industries, the landscape and the lives and stories of the people who have lived, worked and played here. All these make a place special and unique and develop a sense of connection and belonging.

This is a key role for our heritage-led regeneration Trust, with a responsibility for preserving, celebrating and growing our heritage offer, and engaging more people with it. The right candidate will take on the responsibility for managing the award-winning Victoria Tunnel, our heritage walks and talks programmes, our photographic and oral history collections, volunteer research projects and support with other initiatives such as Hadrian’s Wall celebrations, Valley heritage interpretation signage and other opportunities as they arise.

We couldn’t do the work we do without the dedication of our volunteers, so integral to this role will be the support of our volunteer team.
