We offer a range of therapeutic and support services for children, young people and families affected by domestic violence and abuse.
We currently have an exciting opportunity for established counsellors/play therapists throughout Northumberland to become our partners in offering trauma informed counselling to the hardest to reach young people.
If you would be interested in delivering counselling/play therapy to children and young people aged 4-18 years who have been affected by domestic abuse, as part of a wider provision to reach out to families in the most rural/hard to reach areas, then please get in touch for an initial conversation. You will have a diploma in counselling, play therapy or equivalent, ideally at least 2 years post qualification experience with substantial proven practice hours and be skilled in working therapeutically with children and young people 4-18 years, as well as the appropriate registrations e.g. BACP/PTUK.
We offer person centred therapy however we welcome expressions of interest from practitioners who are trained in additional therapeutic interventions which may add value to our offer to children and young people. Rates are negotiable.
Please see our website www.acornsproject.org.uk for more information on our work.
Please contact Julia Parkinson – firstname.lastname@example.org – to express your interest. Please note that you MUST be fully qualified and insured to be considered for this work - we will not respond to anyone who does not meet our criteria.
