About you

Are you experienced in the social care sector, specifically in relation to supporting individuals with multiple-complex needs back into employment? Do you have experience of business development, employer engagement work or experience in developing, supporting and maintaining key employer and stakeholder relationships? Want to work for, and play an integral part in, an organisation that helps people build brighter futures for themselves and their families? If so, our exciting Employer Engagement Worker role could be the perfect fit.

Step Forward Tees Valley is led by the Northern Inclusion Consortium which is comprised of four leading North East charities; Changing Lives; DISC; Groundwork NE & Cumbria; and Mental Health Concern, each with a well-established commitment to delivering community-based services for people with complex needs.

Step Forward Tees Valley is an exciting programme delivered across the five local authority areas of the Tees Valley. There are 29 partner organisations that are involved in the programme, aiming to support 2,500 people experiencing barriers and complex needs move closer toward work and training opportunities. The programme is jointly funded by the Big Lottery Fund and European Social Fund until 30th June 2022 and aims to tackle poverty and promote social inclusion. The position will be based with the Changing Lives team in Stockton.

As an Employer Engagement Worker, you will assist and contribute to the development and effective delivery of the Step Forward Tees Valley programme. You will work closely with businesses in the local community, developing relationships to ensure participants can capitalise on the development of employability skills and progress towards the labour market.
