37 hours per week (Monday – Friday 9am – 5pm), with some flexibility to meet the post

About the Role:

Oasis Community Housing has been expanding our Basis Beds service in Gateshead and into Sunderland and South Tyneside over the last year. The project provides an accommodation offer to those furthest from safe and appropriate housing in a service designed specifically for individuals with multiple and complex needs.  Basis Beds is a same day access housing first project with properties dispersed throughout the borough of Gateshead, Sunderland and South Tyneside.


The post holder will be part of a team delivering floating support to people accommodated in Basis Beds and provide assistance to access the accommodation to those considered suitable who have received brief intervention in our resource centres Basis. At Basis, we run a day centre style drop in community based project, delivering both homeless prevention and homelessness response services to vulnerably housed and rough sleepers.


You will be qualified to NVQ2 or equivalent in a relevant subject and have knowledge and experience of working with vulnerable people in a paid or unpaid capacity. An understanding of the benefits system and knowledge of drug and alcohol misuse are all essential for this role.
