Full time (37.5 per week/ shift work required) Teachable Moments Intervention Worker Opportunities – Youth Custody Intervention Programme
The programme aims to provide a timely intervention within the custody environment and to identify the “teachable moment” that enables bespoke and appropriate support for young people to be put in place. It is an important and new project aimed to divert young people and lead them to positive behaviours and improved lives.
As a Teachable Moment Intervention Worker you will be led by a team leader and work alongside 3 Teachable Moments Family Entrepreneurs and 1 Edge Mentor and based in one of 3 custody suites in either Newcastle, North Tyneside and Sunderland. You may be required to travel between sites and will need to have a flexible approach to your working hours to meet the needs of the service.
The funding for this secondment opportunity is until the 31st March 2022, however the intention of the partnership is to demonstrate impact in order to seek and secure longer term funding.
