Age UK North Tyneside is looking for an enthusiastic and dynamic person to support the charity services to help implement and deliver our new 2025 strategy, contributing to the organisations mission ‘to help people make more of life’.
Since Covid-19, Age UK North Tyneside has faced the challenge of overcoming barriers to services that enable people in later life to engage in social interactions. Telephone befriending was introduced to expand and continue our befriending service through regular, friendly telephone conversations with volunteers. The success of this service means that we now have an exciting opportunity for a new Telephone Befriending Coordinator to support in the development and delivery of this programme.
The successful person will support in the expansion of this service by seeking out opportunities for improving engagement in hard to reach areas, developing referral pathways, recruitment and co-ordinating the recruitment and induction of volunteers, matching customers with suitable volunteers and communicating with them and the customers throughout their journey with Age UK North Tyneside.
If you think you are the right person please request an application pack can be obtained from HR@ageuknorthtyneside.org.uk
