Action Station South Tyneside Limited is a Registered Charity and Company Limited by Guarantee.   We have been operating in South Shields for 22 years and we support people who are disadvantaged and facing a number of challenges.  We deliver a range of services including training and education, employment support, basic digital skills, money management, community library, community café and volunteering opportunities.  Over the past year the organisation has undergone a period of expansion and development with a number of potential opportunities still to explore. 

We are recruiting a Treasurer on a voluntary basis to join our Board of Trustees and wish to appoint someone

  • with relevant financial skills and experience
  • who has the time, energy and commitment to govern and direct the charity
  • able to attend regular Trustee Board meetings reporting on the organisations financial position
  • who is interested in the work we do, our values and ethos

You will be responsible for overseeing the financial affairs and viability of the organisation ensuring we are operating sustainably within accounting practices
