- Do you want to use your financial skills to benefit refugees and asylum seekers in the North East?
- Do you want to be part of an organisation that uses horticulture, creative and learning activities within a safe and welcoming environment to promote well-being, integration and personal development?
- Do you believe that services should be truly user-led, built and delivered by those who benefit from them?
The Trustees of The Comfrey Project are currently looking for someone with strong finance skills to join the Board as Treasurer to provide advice and oversight of the charity's fincances, our financial procedures, and to help shape and improve our strategies.
Commitment: Trustees attend eight regular meetings, one Team Building & Strategic Development session, and are also required to attend our Annual General Meeting. You will also need to participate in at least one Board Subcomittee, which have variable meeting requirements.
Though welcome, you do not need any prior experience in a trustee role, as training and support will be offered.
Trustee roles are voluntary; however, The Comfrey Project will pay all reasonable out-of-pocket expenses incurred to carry out your role.
To request an Application Pack or an informal chat about the role please contact Penny Schofield, Chair of The Comfrey Project Trustees by phone on 07968044048 or by email firstname.lastname@example.org
We especially welcome applications from candidates from a refugee background, from ethnic minority backgrounds or who are disabled, as these perspectives are under-represented in our current board.
