Silverline Memories is a small charity based in Newcastle upon Tyne. We work across the North East.
Silverline Memories provides places to go and things to do for people living with dementia and their carers. We alleviate the social isolation and loneliness often experienced by those affected by dementia (both the person with the diagnosis and informal carers) by facilitating social opportunities. Our activities include dementia cafés, lunch club, tea dances, carer support groups, crisis support and day trips.
Silverline Memories was founded in December 2013 and reconstituted as a charity in September 2015
We have three trustees at the moment and we’re looking for at least two more to support us in implementing our Foundations and Future strategy 2020-2025.
We would welcome applications from anyone with a passion for supporting people with dementia and ideally who have the skills that could benefit a small but growing charity such as strategic financial expertise or business development skills. Trustees meet on average six times a year but also offer some support with specific projects.
