Volunteers play an important and integral role within our organisation and we are looking to recruit new volunteers to join our Charity’s Board of Trustees.  Age UK County Durham Board members are responsible for ensuring the organisation is governed correctly and that we remain compliant with Charity Law and other internal/external guidance whilst ensuring we maintain our mission to promote the wellbeing of all older people and to make later life a fulfilling and enjoyable experience.’

Applicants must be able to demonstrate care and an understanding of the needs of older people living in County Durham and have experience at a managerial or leadership level.  We would welcome applicants with relevant experience and specifically those with knowledge of working in a retail environment, business development, charity governance or fundraising or feel that you have skills and experience that would bring a benefit to the role; we would like to hear from you.
